As with the 10th anniversary of Grand Theft Auto III last year, Rockstar has announced that Grand Theft Auto: Vice City will be coming to both Android and iOS later this fall. The mobile version will include native high-resolution graphics and several unique improvements. A list of compatible devices and more information will be released in the coming weeks. No word on who is developing the port but the sure bet is War Drum Studios, which developed the mobile ports of both GTAIII and Max Payne.
"Grand Theft Auto: Vice City gave players the freedom of a massive open-world in one of the most iconic and vibrant settings ever realized in a game," said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. "It was a defining moment in the series and we're delighted to be celebrating its 10th anniversary this year with a stunning, updated version for phones and tablets."
In addition to the mobile version, Rockstar will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of Vice City on October 29th with a series of never before seen artwork, a new anniversary trailer and a limited run of collectible items you can purchase through the Rockstar Warehouse.
