According to Ivan Pavlovich, soundtrack supervisor, in GTAV there are 15 radio stations featuring 240 licensed songs and 2 talk stations. In addition, there is approximately 20 movies worth of score in the game. Of course, like every other part of GTAV, Pavlovich states that it's both "the largest soundtrack that [Rockstar have] done, and the largest score that [Rockstar have] done."

Since it was announced that Grand Theft Auto V will feature a score just like Bully, Red Dead Redemption and Max Payne 3, fans have been wondering who would compose it. Pavlovich has confirmed that Tangerine Dream, Woody Jackson and Alchemist in collaboration with Oh No. Each artist is composing a separate score for a protagonist, however elements of each artist will be audible no matter who you're playing.

The article confirms four radio stations and gives us samplers of each one.

  • Vinewood Boulevard Radio - Modern rock. Hosted by Nate Williams and Stephen Pope.
  • East LOS FM - Mexian electronica and other traditional Mexican sounds. Hosted by Camilo Lara from the Mexican Institute of Sound.
  • West Coast Classics - Old school hip-hop. Hosted by DJ Pooh.
  • Rebel Radio - Outlaw country. Hosted by Jesco White.

RollingStone was able to confirm an additional four radio stations, but with no names.

  • Eighties boogie-funk station, hosted by Bootsy Collins.
