19 Jul 2013 - Steam Group Attacked

Hey everyone,

Last night, a Steam account with administrator access to the RockstarNexus Steam group suffered an attack, and as a result, a number of members were "kicked-out" of the group. If you had previously joined the group and find that you are no longer in it, you can simply rejoin either by searching for it via the Steam client or by clicking here. We have also contacted Steam Support to see if we can have the changes reversed. We're sorry for the inconvenience and have taken steps to ensure the group is secure.

Just a note, some of you may have noticed the Social Club cards service wasn't working correctly in the past 24 hours. I apologize for the inconvenience and the problem has been rectified. Thanks to everyone for your support!

First off, I want to thank you all for your support! It's been awesome to see all the feedback and kind words the past couple of weeks since the launch of the Social Club Cards feature. I also want to thank Rockstar for featuring us on their Newswire blog.

This first update includes a number of things I've wanted to fix/add and a couple of bugs on the backend of things. The biggest addition is a brand new card size you can choose. A more detailed list is below.

  • New card size choice, 400x64px, for both games
  • 8 backgrounds for each game added for the new, smaller size
  • Added player motto to the big card for Red Dead Redemption
  • The Crew tag in the Max Payne 3 cards now reflects if the crew is a Founder crew or not
  • Added section for selecting the card size
  • Checks in place to make sure you actually fill in your username
  • The website now goes to the section that requires your attention automatically
  • Fixed a number of odd bugs with Internet Explorer 8

And that concludes the first update! Note that it may take a few hours for the updates to roll out to previously generated cards. As always, I'm always open to feedback and suggestions of things you want changed or added. Just simply leave a comment on the article, post in our forums or email me

Ever wanted to display your rockin' stats for Max Payne 3 or Red Dead Redemption for all to laugh at admire? Here's your chance!

We are proud to announce the launch of Social Club Cards! Simply head on over to the Social Club Cards site, select which game you want, input either your Rockstar Social Club name for Max Payne 3 stats or Gamertag/ID for Red Dead Redemption, select the platform you use the most, choose the background you think is coolest and then hit Generate Card. We'll request your stats from Social Club, display them in a cool image and give you the code you'll need to use to either display the image on a forum or your own personal website. We'll even automatically update your stats after a certain period to ensure you'll be displaying the latest death tally. Just make sure you have your profile and statistics set to public on Rockstar Social Club!

As Social Club Cards is new and still in beta, there's bound to be a few bugs and snags along the way. Most errors should work themselves out over a 24 hour period. If you have any issues that won't resolve themselves or have suggestions for future improvements, don't hesitate to contact us! We're also working on a number of cool improvements and enhancements to Social Club Cards which we'll announce at a later date. Until then, we hope you'll enjoy the current beta of Social Club Cards!

02 May 2012 - RockstarLoft launched!

I'm proud to announce the launch of RockstarLoft, a new community fansite for Rockstar Games fans. Over the past week my good friend John and I have been working on several concepts for the website. There are still somethings that are a work in progress such as a downloads system and a few other ideas we have in mind but would like to keep them under wraps until we feel comfortable with unleashing the public on them. As the site is still very new, there are bound to be a few bumps in the road and the community right now is small, but I assure you that if you stick around we will do everything humanly possible to bring you guys the best Rockstar Games fansite. Many of you out there in the community may know me by the username of Gamerzworld and others of you might remember me as the administrator of a popular Rockstar Games fansite I helped run for 6 years. With RockstarLoft I hope to bring fresh new ideas to the table and help set it apart from other fellow fansites. Here's to a new voyage!
